The City Planning Department Map Collection contains oversize records including maps, plans and drawings on a variety of projects and subjects, especially pertaining to land use and redevelopment. Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps

The Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps contain 17 volumes of Pittsburgh insurance maps (1925-1927) and one volume of Homestead insurance maps (1926). Each volume contains updated correction slips from the 1930s and 1940s.
